Start with your pet
Tap “Show off your pet”. Add their best photo, name, species and breed, and your city — that’s the first screen. On the second, your first name, email and a password. Looking to adopt and don’t have a pet yet? Start from the adopter form on our Join page instead.

Verify your email
We email you a link — tap it and you’re in. Your pet is saved to your account automatically as soon as you’ve verified.

Add more photos and videos, a birthday, favorites and any special-needs notes whenever you like, then enter a local contest and send friends the link to vote.

Verify your email, then set up your profile: services and prices, business hours, photos and a bio. Upload a government ID so we can verify you.

Our team reviews every new provider. Once you’re approved, pet owners nearby can find you and request appointments; you accept or decline from your dashboard. Connect a Stripe account so customers can pay you by card.

Yes — during the beta, Hello Friend is free for pet owners, adopters and providers. You only pay for services or products you buy. Optional paid plans start in January 2027; see Pricing.
Any modern web browser — phone, tablet or computer. There’s nothing to install. iOS and Android apps are on the roadmap.
No — signup is open to everyone. Pet owners can start with their pet; adopters and businesses use the short form on the Join page.
Just log in. If you’re signed in and tap “Show off your pet”, Hello Friend takes you straight to your pets instead of asking you to sign up again.
Open a provider’s profile, choose a service, your pet, a date and a time, and send the request. Paid services need a card saved in Billing; you can apply Treats for a discount. The provider confirms or declines, and the appointment shows up in both of your appointment lists — with an AI-written prep summary for the provider.
Yes. Pet owners can create an adoption listing with photos and a description. Interested adopters send a request; once you accept one, a conversation opens in the app so you can arrange a meetup. If you set a rehoming fee, you keep 100% of it.
Pet groomers, veterinarians, animal hospitals, pet trainers, boarding and pet sitting businesses, breeders, animal shelters and animal rescues. Any of them can also open a shop. See For providers.
